Manucos Restaurant Spanish Cuisine, Levittown

Great food and prices but business slow so needed to close

We went to Manucos early on a Saturday night. There was no one else in the restaurant. We were greeted warmly and given menus but were told that they were out of more than half of the menu. We are also told that only one small group of platters was available with the coupon. Both of the platters we chose included mufongo - a combo of root veg and plantains. I was happy about that because I've had it in another restaurant and it was delicious. Unfortunately this was not. There was little to no seasoning and it was so dry that it was difficult to swallow. I was very disappointed. The man who served us then launched into an explanation of what a bad deal it was for the restaurant to offer Groupan coupons and he detailed how little they make when we come there with a coupon. Ummm, not my problem. As we were leaving I asked him when (which night of the week) would be a better time to come in, when they would have more of a selection available. He hesitated, thought for a moment and then said Thursday nights are better. That made no sense to me. We had another coupon for another meal there. We let it expire as we had no desire to return.

The Can can pork is incredible!
