The lemon pepper sauce is amazing. I'd like to see it incorporated into another dish...maybe a chicken wrap or seafood dish. And the fried plantains....delicious.

You have a winner with your good food, friendly service, creative decor, and appeal to a broad range of people (business crowd, the under 30 set, couples). I'm glad the spices can be customized to pack heat or be mild and flavorful.

Great food. Really reminds me of being back in Jamaica. Only disappointment was that beef pattys were not available.

My son and I went here for lunch on a weekday because it is close to my office. We got there kind of late for lunch and they were getting ready to close the kitchen down to prepare for the Valentines Day evening rush but cooked for us anyway. Very nice people and atmosphere.

From Our Editors

While most of us sleep, Montego Cafe’s wings marinate overnight in a specially prepared jerk seasoning to perfectly spice tongues during the next day’s feasts. The chefs craft the rest of the café’s authentic and fusion Caribbean dishes with equal patience, sautéing gulf shrimp or white-meat chicken in a signature curry sauce and crowning Angus beef burgers named for Bob Marley with plantains and habanero aioli. Bartenders complement bites with island specialty drinks such as a signature jamaican rum punch made with Malibu coconut rum and Bacardi Superior. When night falls and a new batch of wings starts marinating, the café hosts karaoke nights, DJ sets, and performances by its house band Synergy, whose musicianship outshines that of their rival group, Let’s Try Playing Our Instruments at the Same Time.
