When it comes to knowing what's good for your body, take it from Maggie Lazarre. She's the owner of Café Noir and has more than 20 years of nursing experience under her belt. She's since lost the scrubs to don a chef's hat, but still takes care of area residents with a nutrient-packed menu of French-inspired cafe food. To ensure the healthiest options, she culls local fruits and veggies from farms that don't use pesticides.

Fresh produce in tow, she whips up all-day breakfasts comprising croissant sandwiches, french toast, frittatas, and more. For lunch, the menu expands to include sandwiches, salads, and wraps, and the café specialty, quiche lorraine—a decadent creation made with fresh eggs, bechamel sauce, crème fraiche, and gruyère cheese.
