It's cool to stay in a hotel that has so much history! The room was large for a city hotel and the staff was accommodating when we wanted to turn the temperature down in our room. (They normally kept it locked)

They make a copy of your drivers license and credit card and keep it in a non secure closet behind the front desk. The front desk is open 24 hours. Not safe or secure. Customer service sucked. Rooms were basic. I wouldn't recommend spending your money way there.

Very Dingy, poor service, never got any help from the desk person. Mostly back packers who are sharing rooms and bathrooms. Not nearly as nice as the pictures show. Quality has drastically fallen in the past 10 years as I had been there 10 years ago and it was much better. Holiday Inn would be a much better room and experience.

This hotel was terrible and if you read other reviews you will see a common theme. We booked 2 nights with 2 queen beds for 4 guests and were charged 2 extra people which was standard, really? We had to put down a $100 security deposit and provide our credit card and license which they photo copied. We had to sleep with a pillow over our head since the noise was so loud outside the hotel and asked for another room and were told the hotel was booked, Never again!

I had an awful experience with Groupon & I never consented to the purchase of this hotel deal. Although they admit to a computer glitch they refused to refund my $300. After over 10 emails and 14 calls, Groupon failed this customer terribly. Groupon said it can not be canceled & told me to contact hotel. Hotel says contact Groupon that they are sick of this issue. What shady deal! Writing to CEO.

Booked the largest room which supposed to sleep 6 since we are 5, went to check in with my kids and was told that since the Groupon was only for 2 I would have to pay additional $50 per person, which included for each of my 3 children (all under 10 years old) and I was told by the receptionist that the cost was just increased THAT DAY from $25 to $50!! I asked to speak with the manager, so he called her (Adrianna)on the phone but would not let me speak to her and at that time she offered no compromise . I spent 40 min on the phone with Groupon with no resolution at that time so I booked another nearby hotel and took my kids there as it was already dark out. Hours later I saw an email from Groupon stating that the manager Adrianna refused a refund, but would honor the Groupon rate of $25 per additional child. By the time I was able to see this email my kids were already asleep at another hotel. And of all the times I've book hotels stays with Groupon I have never been required to pay extra for my children, let alone extra $75!!! Very poor customer service, didn't even get to see the room!
