About The Bacon Run

One doesn't have to wander the grounds of the Superior Plumbing North Georgia State Fair to find something interesting. The sprawling grounds sport a wealth of attractions including the James H. Drew Carnival, a cornerstone of the fair, which features over 40 rides and plenty of carnival games. A true fair experience would not be complete without great food as the grounds offer an abundance of vendors doling out everything from cotton candy to corn dogs.

  • Balloonopolis: a centerpiece of the exhibit hall, this balloon carousel showcases unique balloon displays and decor
  • Petting Zoo: kids can pet animals such as bison and llamas while learning more about them from the zoo's staff
  • Concerts: the Carl Black Kennesaw concert series features live performances from musical acts such as Dylan Scott and Easton Corbin

My little ones had a lot of fun. They enjoyed the rides and all of the staff that we encountered were very helpful. Our time was cut short because of the rain but I would definitely go again.

Really small to be considered a state fair. I paid for unlimited rides for 3 ppl and wish I didn’t. Because there were not a lot of rides the lines were long. We only had a chance to ride 3 rides. We could have purchased ride tickets and saved our money. I will say that this was the cleanest fair I’ve ever been to!

The fair is fun. What wasn't fair about the fair is that they scanned the Groupon I purchased for admission for four people and the only one requiring an admission was my grown son. He took my 3 grandkids, all under age 12 and the admission for those ages last Sunday was FREE. The folks at the gate at the fair should have mentioned that and not scanned that Groupon!! Not happy at all with that transaction.
