The Staff was very friendly and my wait time was within 15 minutes. My glasses came back on the time set. I got two pair (regular / sunglasses)

Way, way too expensive. Frames and lenses no better than For Eyes, but about 4 times as expensive, even with the Groupon.

Wasn't happy with the facility or the overall selection of eyewear. The facility is old and needs to be updated. Much of the lobby area is worn and outdated. I felt like it had not been maintained very well and the last time it was worked on was at least 10+ years ago.

I took my prescription to their establishment, and when the receptionist handed it to the person who would be waiting on me, telling her I had a Groupon, she made a face. She did, however, process my order very efficiently. I was almost speechless though when I was apprised of the total amount, which came to just over $800, less the $200 Groupon, for a total of just over $600. I was assured that the new pair was of the same quality as my current pair which I paid just under $300 for two years ago. As a sr. citizen on a fixed income I watch my expenditures carefully. I feel Rosin is taking advantage of people (possibly by using a separate pricing systgem for the Groupon customers. As it stands, my glasses come to approx. $650 (counting the $50 paid for the Groupon.

i paid for a Groupon worth $400 for myself and my daughter we still paid close to $600 for two pair of glasses so that meant that we spent close to $1000 for glasses insane!! My daughter's were not even a designer frame. Never again For Eyes or even Lenscrafters is so much better. No wonder those Rosins are so rich.

From Our Editors

In 1930, Dr. Joseph Rosin and his brother, Maurice, opened a small shop on Cermak Road in Cicero. In 80 years, the shop has grown from a small family-run optometrist's office to a regionally renowned business that has sharpened the eyesight of celebrities such as Joe DiMaggio and Plácido Domingo and left its mark on the Chicago area by designing famous symbols such as Harry Caray's trademark glasses and the novelty shades that adorn the John Hancock Center. Today, Rosin Eyecare rests in the hands of the third generation of Rosins, ably helmed by brothers James and Jonathan, who continue a proud tradition of warm, personal service as they improve eyesight with high-tech LASIK and PRK treatments as well as stylish eyeglasses with scratch-resistant lenses. At 16 locations, including the newest office Long Grove, a staff of optometrists keeps optical orbs in high function with comprehensive exams, treating each patient's individual needs with products such as a contact-lens implant or a prescription safety eyewear.
