Mogador is a great choice for date nights or large groups. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, the service is a five star, and everyone is very accommodating.

no one to greet us when we came in (and it was a weeknight-dead), really slow service, overcooked 1/2 chicken, and overcooked pasta...we wanted so badly to like it :(

Very slow service. The restroom had holes in the wall and needed paint.

The wait staff was friendly, that's where it ended. Only ONE other table in the restaurant was occupied. I asked the wait staff about an item that was on the web site, her response was OH, that hasn't been updated in awhile. They just opened a little while ago. I came with the intent of ordering a few items from the menu online. But, I quickly looked again at the menu. It took over 1/2 hour to get a Ceaser salad. We had to ask for bread, which took 20 minutes to get that. The food came out about 1 hour 15 minutes later. Baked haddock and Shrimp Scampi. The Haddock was good, the potatoes, something just wasn't right. The Scampi had a lot of shredded vegetables and 4 Shrimp. When You want vegetables you order vegetables, when you want SHRIMP Scampi that is what you should get. When you have a good product you don't need to bulk up the dish. I will never go back there again.

They need a hostess and a bar tender ... The poor waitresses looked like they were doing everything

Was extremely disappointed with the whole experience. They had only two staff members on when we came in. The Bartender was also acting as the hostess and our server. the service was slow, the food was not cooked properly, the seating accommodations were less than comfortable. Overall, very disappointed. Our server was pleasant however. I think she was just overworked and had too many shoes to fill, but I blame that on management.

food is cooked to order, be prepared to wait for some dishes, but it's well worth the wait. Waitress didn't know what was in bisque. I'm allergic to carrots, she said it had none. There were tons of carrot. She just shrugged and left it on the table & bill. I could have been seriously ill.

There are definitely some kinks that still need to be worked out, but the bottom line is that the food is good.

From Our Editors

After manning grills for 15 years as the executive chef at Plaza III steak house, Salvi Salama took the reigns at Mogador Restaurant. Since then, he has helped to design and prepare a menu that fuses contemporary American and traditional Mediterranean influences. Each dish features local produce, naturally raised meats, and sustainable seafood whenever possible, lending vibrant and fresh flavors to entrees such as lamb tagine or pesto-crusted halibut with tomato harissa sauce.

Split into a dining room and a lounge area, the restaurant keeps diners entertained by hosting live music and belly dancing throughout the week. The performances fill the earth-toned space, which incorporates rich, gleaming woods, intricate wrought-iron dividers, and cushioned banquettes.
