Nice looking place. Friendly staff.
The food and cocktails were great! Kitchen closes at 9:30pm so be aware when you make your reservations. This is a great way to try them while saving a little money.
Poor service. Made us feel like 2nd class customers because we used a Groupon.
Nice setting, and a great happy hour. We especially liked the artichoke dip recommended by our server.
We'll be back!
Fancy place and food was tasty.
Food was good, and the portions were plentiful. The drinks were a bit over-priced. The reason for the 3-stars? Our server was rude. When we told him we would be using the Groupon, he told us that we "HAVE to spend well over $40 (the value of the Groupon)". Yeah buddy, that's not how it works. If I only wanted to order $40 worth of food and drinks, that's my prerogative.
Service was excellent, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was really nice. However, we went on a weeknight and the bar and kitchen closed too early!
Nice atmosphere. Tapas were all very good and our server was very knowledgeable about the wine!
The atmosphere is very nice and there was live music on a Sunday night. The service was very good! The wine is way overpriced! The appetizers were very good but a bit pricey also.
Cool bar. Cool atmosphere. When we mentioned we had a Groupon the server made sure to tell us that we needed to spend way over that, which was a little rude.
From Our Editors
A bottle of wine is only as good as the soil where its grapes are grown—but where you finally drink it matters, too. Stem Wine Bar & Eatery makes the drinking environment as important as a fine wine's terroir, surrounding visitors with tufted curtains, velvet booths, an exposed-beam roof, and French illustrations on the walls. Whether pairing the wines with a charcuterie plate or sweet desserts such as Sebastian Joe's ice cream, Stem's selection offers plenty of variety to suit even the most discriminating palate.
Sample Wine List
- Reds: Meschni Premium, malbec from Argentina; Chateau Timberlay, bordeaux; Villadoria, nebbiolo; Kunde, cabernet from Sonoma Valley
- Whites: Hugel, alsace; Buehler, chardonnay from Napa Valley; Treveri, gewurztraminer; Marc Bredif, vouvray
- Sparking and Rosé: Maschio, prosecco; Champs de Provence, grenache and syrah rosé)
