We had a very unpleasant dining experience this past weekend. Empty bar and restaurant on Friday at 7:30? The Brazilian Berry cocktail was yummy but it all went downhill from there. Cold and bland Corn Cakes, salty Shrimp Croustard. The Mac + Cheese was good, creamy, warm and rich. The Grouper and the Southern Shrimp were all overcooked. The thai rice was so hot it burned my dates mouth. The "soft, sweet potato fries" were definitely not soft. They were like shoe-string onions or fries. Also overcooked, too crispy and inedible with a fork. My plate was flaming hot when it was brought out so I can only assume that our food had been left in a warmer or something which is why everything was overdone. Since the restaurant was empty, it is hard to believe you could not get the food to us freshly prepared. Also, the staff needs some grooming pointers. They are not on the level of a Midtown restaurant in Nashville but more like Shoneys in Antioch. The best person you have going for you is the hostess. Professional and sweet. I wish you well and only hope you can make improvements that will turn the business around for you. I was excited for the experience but came out disappointed.
