Jack Dempsey's Restaurant, New Orleans

As a local, Jack Dempsey is a New Orleans staple. Me and my family have eaten there many times in the past and everything was always very good. I'm sad to say that this time was not the same. The wait staff was not friendly and the food was worse. I ordered a seafood platter and it was full of fish and cold french fries and hardly no other seafood was on the platter, the gumbo was rice and roux only...no meat or seafood in it. The crab meat appetizer was very bland no seasoning. Overall the food was not hot and to top it off the waitress would not honor the groupon until I asked her for the manager. I have another groupon to use but sadly I will not return.

My tip would be to bring cash. We spent $7 over our Groupon, but were told we'd have to be charged $10 because this is the minimum charge for credit card purchases at the restaurant.

Don't go with the friend seafood. it's good, but everything else is better.
