We had a Groupon for a prix fixe meal which was excellent. It included a meze platter, meat platter, and two glasses of wine. The food was great, and surprisingly the wine was also excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. I’m temporarily in a wheelchair and they made me feel welcome and we’re very accommodating unlike other nyc restaurants I’ve been too recently. Go to Galatea!

Wonderful Service & Tasty Meal. We really enjoyed our groupon. The appetizer sampler was great and our meal of mixed meats was really really good. The baklava was to die for.

The food was excellent but everything else.... Just be aware .It was told on the voucher to tip according to what the meal really would cost . As the meal was predesigned there was nothing on the menu that compared to what we had. we added a desert and coffee. At the end of the meal my husband asked what we owed . The hostess said nothing. we put a $25.00 tip on the table, which was quickly scooped up. my husband went to the restroom and the hostess appeared with two bills; one $110.00. with a $92.00 credit (our voucher was $75.00) ? and another for $20.00 something. the desert was $8.00 and my coffee was $3.50. Obviously the tip was added to both bolls so we tipped over 50%. after being instructed to tip appropriately. we were going to be regular customers but after that never again! we are going to contact the manager regarding the situation.
