Runways aren't the only place to make a style statement, according to fashion consultant-turned-restaurateur Cynthia Diaz. At Bar Celona, her glamorous Williamsburg lounge, savory tapas and artisanal cocktails speak volumes about her aesthetic flair, her Dominican heritage, and the history of New York itself. Curated by Cynthia and her mother, an interior designer, the former glue factory's black-and-white interior summons the romantic, mysterious vibe of a noir film or a champagne bottle filled with crime-scene photos. Ornate damask patterns adorn throne-like chairs, and golden chains lend maroon-velvet benches a regal sheen.

A glowing chandelier illuminates the marble bar, where mixologists pour Spanish wines and craft Tippling Bros. cocktails such as La Fashionista, a mélange of Crop cucumber vodka, elderflower liqueur, and lemon-lavender foam. Chef Bruno Genao's tapas menu, meanwhile, pairs Spanish staples such as serrano ham and manchego cheese with Latin fare such as tostones and chorizo juliennes.
