About this Business
From Our Editors
Twinkling Christmas lights encircle the metal shingle that hangs outside of Shervin’s Cafe, a bohemian East Village spot run by fashion photographer and blogger Shervin Nassi. Inside, an antique chandelier sways overhead as bartenders polish rows of waiting wine glasses, ready to receive pours from bottles of chianti, riesling, and pinot noir. On select nights, music from DJs or live bands fills the space, where packs of friends can be seen sipping from bottles of craft beer. The café’s french doors open to let in the breeze in during summer and close to keep migrating polar bears out during winter. Guests can also fuel up for their mornings with rich, velvety Ethiopian espressos or black mango tea.
