Some of the coaches are worthwhile, but the studio itself is awful. It's in a small office space, there is no locker or changing room, only a bathroom with a lock that doesn't work. The studio can't regulate its heat, and I was there a couple of times when it was far too hot. Also there isn't a water fountain, and their bottled water bubbler disappeared during the month I went there. I, like a lot of other reviewers, left something here during a class and couldn't pick it up because no one ever answers their phone and it's not open for any regular hours. As far as instruction is concerned, some of the coaches are fine, some refuse to explain the exercises or even demonstrate them. I don't understand the point of telling a class to do a one armed burpee if a) no one in the class is fit enough to do it and b) you're unwilling to even explain what it is. S Also the instruction was occasionally dangerous, not in a "you might hurt yourself from pushing yourself too hard" way but in a "we're going to run around in a circle with heavy weights in our hands really close to each other and if the person in front of you drops the weight its going to hit you in the head" kind of way. If you want to push yourself try Exceed, Tone House, or the Fhitting Room. There are plenty of worthwhile studios in NYC to try. They are also going to try and make you pose for a selfie at the end of the class.

Was hard to get a hang of things as a newbie and I wish there was more focus on form than on speed but it was a challenging fun workout and there’s a real push for team building!

Good instructors and classes get a sweat going. Space is very small though. Unlike some of the other groupon's like epic hybrid you have to use all 10 classes in a month, which I didn't realize and went on vacation after using 2. So probably good value if you can get all 10 used in a month.
