About The Wave

At The Wave, you only need three things for a great brunch: a hot plate of steak and eggs, a strong bloody mary, and a feather boa made entirely of bacon. Ok, that last one might be an overstatement, but not by much: hosted by some of the city's most boisterous drag divas, The Wave's Sunday Drag Brunch is equal parts meal and show. As performers shake it to disco, house, and pop tracks, the kitchen stays busy turning out made-to-order dishes that pair well with the bar's top-shelf liquor. The fun continues at night, when The Wave morphs into a full-scale dance club that thumps with tracks hand-selected by house DJs.

Expect to spend some money. Main items: Groupon covers $40 off the bill: $25 per person. Mix drinks cost $7.50, not so sure on beer. Brunch is a buffet style that you can go up for seconds. Entertainment is that individual Drags will come down and lip sink songs. They will walk around and "perform" while you give them $$. Gutity was $18. Final bill total was $64 after the Groupon had been deducted.

The Drag Brunch at the Wave is so much fun. The brunch is delicious and the entertainment is excellent. Everyone should go. I will definitely be returning soon.
