The passport was a great deal. We got to try some new wineries. Some are kind of far from each other but if you plan your tastings over a few day it’s a fun adventure.

The wine trail passport was ok. Wineries are too spread out though.

The passport was a fun way to experience wineries, but I will say they are pretty far apart. If you're drinking that makes it fairly problematic. Overall, we enjoyed the locations we visited!

We really enjoyed going to wineries/olive oil and breweries that we may not have noticed from the road. Every place had very informative and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend getting this passport, especially if you are new to the whole process. Had a great time.

I loved doing the wine tastings, however Olea Farms, the olive oil place, was not service dog friendly, could not conduct the tasting outdoors, did not have chairs, and was generally rude. I went as far as to show her proof my dog is a service dog, and she was still curt. I would purchase a tasting like this again for the wine, but if you are going to try the oil, be prepared for a less than pleasant experience. Regarding the wine, it is not cheap, however the quality is the best I've had, especially for the price. While the tastings for so many wineries is a fantastic price, be prepared to spend $40 a bottle for your reds. (Excellent reds). The bottles we saw ranged from $25-45.

It was such an easy process to pick up the Passport. We ended up only visiting two wineries for the one afternoon we were here (Kaleidos & Rotta), and both were excellent. The owner himself at Kaleidos ran our tasting and answered every question we had about the process so personably. Rotta's wines were delicious, our tasting guide was fun and knowledgeable, and they even had a winery cat!

One of the wineries had moved and was no longer there. Another was way out in the boondocks, one way road and gate locked and closed. Two of the wineries were across from each other in the same living room of a house. I downloaded a Paso Robles wine app that gave us free tastings for several of the really nice wineries, so the $39 was really a waste of money.

From Our Editors

Passport Central Coast celebrates the rich viticultural heritage of California's Paso wine region with all-access passes to the area's finest wineries and olive-oil producers. After clients pick up their passports at Clavo Cellars or Kaleidos winery, they embark on a delicious journey through different wineries and olive-oil producers, enjoying complimentary tastings of local reds and whites, passport stampings, and honorary citizenship at each vineyard. As guests sample crisp chardonnays, flavorful tempranillos, and robust extra-virgin olive oils, they bask in the warm, fuzzy feeling that Passport Central Coast donates part of its proceeds to a different local nonprofit each week.
