Nopalito, Petaluma

The colorful murals that cover Nopalito's walls are almost as vibrant as the restaurant's food—almost. Known as Uruapan in its past life, Nopalito graces the Petaluma dining scene with authentic and fresh Mexican staples. Think enchiladas doused in mole sauce, chile verde studded with pork, and fish tacos. There's also eight burritos, including a vegetarian-friendly version, a shrimp-stuffed variety, and one they've dubbed "super." Though it isn't adorned with a miniature cape, the super burrito earn their moniker by housing a lengthy list of ingredients, from carne asada or shredded chicken to beans and guacamole. Regardless of what winds up on plates, though, Nopalito's fills glasses with draft beer, sangria, or Mexican soda to deliciously wash down all of the flavors.
