I purchased this to have a fun night with my family at what is reportedly a haunted hotel. When I arrived to check in, I was told that Groupon cancelled my reservation. Hotel San Carlos would not honor the Groupon rate. When I was able to reach Groupon, they said the reservation was not cancelled so Groupon is investigating. At a minimum, I want a refund. A scam? I think so.

Nice nesteligic hotel. Walking distance to everything. Great restaurants and bars next to hotel. Will definitely book a room there again!

Location is great, but the furnishings in the room are so dated and rough. Mattress like sleeping on the ground. Anytime someone on your floor flushes a toilet you get scalded in the shower. This place has so much potential, but for $132/night I'll stay somewhere with better amenities.
