Over 16 years ago, the Mendoza family opened up the very first El Salto restaurant and, since then, it's exploded into six locations all over Indiana. What was the secret to their success? Perhaps it was the weekly margarita specials or the festive Mexican atmosphere. What's most likely, though, is that Robert and Rosendo Mendoza simply knew their Mexican food. Using only the finest, freshest ingredients, each of their restaurants whips up authentic dishes such as burritos covered with cheese and tacos topped with sweet-and-spicy sauce. Alongside Mexican favorites, El Salto also offers unique specials, such as their El Salto nachos, which are made of fresh tortilla chips layered with beans and marinated pork chunks and topped with sour cream, jalapeños, and melted Chihuahua cheese.
