Brooklyn's Deli & Catering, Potomac

The food is good and I went back here for pastries and cookies frequently because it was right in my neighborhood. I've been in more often for breakfast, but I really think their sandwiches are the best thing to get.

Servers are usually pleasant but often seem untrained and service is slow, also the place needs a good cleaning.

Most of what we tried was very bland. The matzo ball soup was really bland! My son's bagel was stale, for $4.50, the hash browns were again, bland! The chicken salad was good, but for $11, I expected at least some chips or potato salad, it wasn't like a huge NYC sandwich piled high, then I could see the price. The service was good provided that there was only 1 server for the whole place and he was busy and kept calm and cool, it was impressive having been a waitress myself. I do consider it bad form to have the bus boy serving food after just seeing him bus a table! I know he was helping the poor waiter, but, EW! I don't know that I would rush back!
