About Ristorante Ravesi (Formerly Angelo & Son's Seafood of E. Boston)
Spherical paper lamps bathe Ristorante Ravesi's interior in an amber glow, emitting cozy light while suspended from the ceiling. White tablecloths serve as an appropriately formal backdrop for the char-grilled steaks, lobster ravioli, and sautéed veal medallions that dance upon the Italian menu. The restaurant's namesake pizza layers arugula with goat cheese, prosciutto, and balsamic fig glaze, and its housemade gnocchi features Executive Chef Giuseppe Ravesi's vodka sauce.

Never got to try the food - waited 40 minutes for an order of Chicken Parm and an order of Raviolis - went there to try a specific dish. 1/2 of the menu was blacked out because of renovations starting that was not listed anywhere - was looking for a quiet evening out and after about 30 minutes there - someone started Karaoke or something - it was not good - no mention of the renovation, limited menu or Karaoke on their website. Left the Groupon because I had ordered. Was really looking forward to trying their Chicken Frangelico - but after this experience - probably will not go back - definitely will not recommend.

I would NOT go back there. The quality of food was not good - even the pizza was bad. In August you can get beautiful tomatoes and the ones on our pizza were unripe, hard and white. We had to send back our eggplant because it was completely mushy and inedible. The prices they charge ($12. for a simple salad) do not reflect the quality and atmosphere we would expect. We love food, but are very easy going - never send food back - but this place was terrible. Our waitress was sweet, but otherwise a big disappointment.

Great antipasto and meal, desserts need work.
