The trunk and console were not cleaned although I had emptied them. I was told by friends that the engine should have been cleaned, too but that was not as big a deal. Can't stand the strong lemon scent. Worst of all, the car would not shift out of park the next morning. Coincidence? My mechanic in 35 years of repairing Toyotas has never seen this problem especially since the shift overrride also didn't work. Did you spray something around the gear shift while cleaning? Who knows, but it is a very very rare problem, required towing and they are not sure if it is fixed or just luck that it is starting again.
