Deacon Giles, Salem

Deacon Giles Distillery is a decidedly New England establishment. To begin with, there's the name. Created in 1835, Deacon Amos Giles was a fictional, pro-temperance character who owned a demon-infused distillery. Then, there are the founders: Ian Hunter and Jesse Brenneman, a pair of New Englanders with more than 15 years of experience. Finally, there are the spirits, which include Original Gin, a western style Gin, a spiced New England–style molasses rum and Liquid Damnation, the first rum distilled in Salem in more than a century.
