Do NOT send a screenshot of your Groupon. While I am sure Chris is great, I changed my mind and canceled. I do admit I confirmed the appointment, but when I got there, just felt super uncomfortable and did not go in. Since he asked for a screenshot he was able to mark as used. Never met the guy. I said I tried to get a refund and he said it's used because I confirmed. So 4 weeks of trading not used

sorry you feel that way, sorry that you cancel not me and didnt even show up to our session as schedule. I've been with groupon since 2011 and never has any complaints on training or how I do business for 19 plus years how i do my business. You did conform me me that you were still coming in that very morning, that activateding your 4 weeks of training. you never once told me in the 4 days that you made the schedule that you were uncomfortable tell 15 minute after your first schedule training session. I work hard for my clients I use Groupon to give back to people that can't afford regular personal training it's not my fault you tried backing out and isn't ready to change.

sorry that you feel that way, but I did nothing wrong, you schedule 4 days before the actual training session. you even confused that very day inwitch activated your 4 weeks of training that opens up my schedule to you for 4 weeks. now in the 4 days you have never once told me that you were uncomfortable. you told me that you were excited to start you never said that tell 15 minutes after our schedule training that you confirmed that very day. im sorry that you made that ecuess not to work out. Ive been working with groupon since 2011 I have never got a complaint on how I activate the groupon it starts when the time and date is confirmed by both me and the client. you decided after the schedule session that you were not coming in. I use groupon to give back to people that can't afford regular training sessions. it's not my fault that you didn't want to come and train or Teel once in the 4 day that you were uncomfortable. you even schedule to me this evening.

I feel very good about my first session with Chris.
He seemed very knowledgeable at designing a workout that pushed me
but was conscious of my individual needs and limitations.
I plan to stick with him

I’ve been training with Chris for about 1 month and a half. It’s been such a great experience with him being my first personal trainer.
Despite the bad review, I can assure you that Chris is a quiet person, but what matters the most is his attention to everything we’re doing during the sessions. I can see my body improving with each training. He is very responsible, on time, and a professional!

I consider myself an objective person and I hope that my pros and cons will help others make their decision when considering “Chris’s Total Fitness Personal Training.” I began the 2022 near year with a goal to get in shape. My wife purchased me 4 month subscription for personal training through Groupon. What was advertised was 2-3 sessions per week for 4 months (16 weeks). By simple math that would be 32 to 48 sessions. I knew that I would be on vacation for at least 1 of those weeks and specifically asked about a make up week. Chris told me that we could make up the week on the end. Here are some “pros and cons” of my experience:
Pros:
Flexible scheduling. I was able to split my work outs between morning and evenings.
Well equipped facilities. Chris pays for access at the “Swell Personal Training” which maintains all of the equipment.
Chris was patient with me as I recovered from a knee injury.
Cons:
Chris is a poor communicator. He is very quiet and provided very little verbal feedback. Usually the most he ever said was “2 more. Chris would demonstrate the exercise, but would not explain what muscle groups I should focus on or provide pointers on proper technique.
Chris is not dependable. Of the expected 32-48 sessions, he cancelled on 14 separate occasions. I had two cancel on 6 occasions. I was on vacation for 3 of those, and had work or family commitments for the others. Chris told me we could make up my vacation week at the end.
Chris is dishonest. At 16 weeks from my start date Chris said that my 4 months were over and that I needed to purchase more sessions if I wanted to continue. When I confronted him about the 14 cancelled sessions and the planned make up week from when I was on vacation, he denied having cancelled except on a few Thursdays and again reiterated that my time was up.
Of the planned 48 sessions, I got to participate in 28 of them. Chris verbally and in text messages confirmed that the missed week, while I was on vacation, could be made up at the end. I verbally asked about the other cancelled days and was given a similar response. I should have asked for this in writing as it appears that the days of men keeping their word is long gone.
In short, if you are looking for a personal trainer that will not talk to you, frequently cancel on you, and then short change you at the end, then Chris is your guy. Don’t believe the other reviews. Buyer beware.

sorry you feel that you got short changed but the groupon you bought was to train 4 months with a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 3 sessions a week depending on the condition of the client, and what they can handle, being that your knee was injured and that we could not even train lower body for more then half of the time I felt it was best for you to get in 2 sessions a week.
Been personal trainer and running my own business for 16 years I take pride in providing training and nutrition services. I am a hard worker I work 7 days a week mornings afternoon and evenings. I always make sure the clients are safe in the gym and that they are workout to their abilities.
