About Rustic
The owner - raised in the French Italian traditions - was only four when she received the unique meatball recipe from her grandmother. Since that time the old-established techniques evolved and mixed with the Southern California flavor, creating a signature dish such as a chorizo cilantro meatball served with chipotle marinara sauce. The dinner menu centers on oven-baked meatballs, salads, and sausages. Whether tumbled across sandwiches or wraps, they burst with the flavors of fresh herbs and slow-roasted meats—or soy chorizo, in the case of the vegetarian option. Before or between meals, guests can sip glasses of local beer.

We purchased the meal for four Groupon. The Groupon clearly states (4) Subs, Sandwiches or wraps. We were given the choice of one of the meatball subs by the man working the counter. No mention of Sandwiches or wraps being part of the Groupon. No sides either. .50 bags of chips on a shelf was the side. Drinks was your choice of 1.99 bottles or cans. The sub value is 8.50 each (Ok), the side value is 4.00 (huh??), the drink value is 6.00 (wow). The sub was ok, but the choices were non-existent and the value is certainly not there. PLUS, we had to pay tax at the counter (5.94, I think) and after tip, we were in this deal for 44.54. Just an overall poor value. We went in at about 1:30 PM on a weekday and were the only ones there. That should be a red flag also.
Can't see myself going there again.

Food is quite good. They no longer serve wine so if you prefer wine to beer bring your own bottle.

Only employee present was unaware of Groupon Procedures whatsoever...$22 spent (for supposedly "$40 value" got us two small meatball so, so sandwiches, 1 drink and two very small pieces of pizza bread and a very small salad to go...the front counter visible refrigerated display had only raw eggs, bread and a chocolate cheesecake and the "menu" is basically meatball sandwiches period...very disappointing...and not good...very average even in comparison to the group on picture...the only other customers were 3 inebriated Canadians waiting for their takeout...I believe all is pre-cooked and thrown in the microwave...they will not be in business long unless there are plenty of home baseball games...

Food was good but runs out of meat later in the day. Need to a better job in stocking the amount of food.
