The Groupon is only good for food and not drinks. So if you want to have a beer with your appetizer, and when you want to present the Groupon, they do the calculations and give you a separate bill for drinks. The Groupon should identify that it is for food only.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The tapas and the meatballs. The owner was kind and have us good recommendations. Also had the sangria with Mexican Coke. Very good. Prices were super reasonable. We will be back!

The meatball sub was really good. The bread was crunchy while the meatballs inside were moist and tasty. I chose a beef meatball and a chorizo meatball, marinara sauce and manchego cheese. There's several choices of the meatballs. two sauces and I think it was 4-5 cheeses. Atmosphere is very casual. The service was very good.

Kind of a funky friendly small space where you may have to share a table with others. Fun. Delicious salads as well as meatballs. Near the ballpark and the new Library but sort of hidden on the left as you come south toward the Padres Parkade.

From Our Editors

Organic and locally sourced ingredients give the French, Italian, and Spanish-inspired meals at Rustic Tapas and Meatballs a California twist. The dinner menu centers on oven-baked meatballs, made from scratch according to the owner's grandmother's recipe. Whether tumbled across spaghetti or slipped between bread, they burst with the flavors of fresh herbs and slow-roasted meats?or soy chorizo, in the case of the vegetarian option. Before or between meals, guests can snack on Spanish-inspired tapas or sip glasses of housemade sangria, craft beer, and organic wine.
