Every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the affable instructors at Pacific Surf School educate students with the healing benefits of yoga alongside the radical benefits of surfing. For the first hour, a series of specific yoga poses will help increase blood flow, improve breathing, and stretch surfing muscles to ensure nimble thumbs and pinkies are prepared for tubular signaling. After the banquet of stretching has ceased, the next two hours are devoted to beginner surf lessons. All equipment is provided, including the surfboard, Lycra wetsuit, quality instruction, and surfside lingo. The pre-meditated yoga session will perk up your surf skills by instilling feelings of focus, body-mind awareness, and the ability to attract suitors with a newly acquired phytoplankton glow.
