There were a lot of yakitori options that were not available. I went there at 8:15pm and more than half of the options were already sold out. Also, the server didn't take our orders correctly as they missed a few dishes. We didn't know the food wasn't coming until we asked if there was more food. It wasn't that busy either, so I don't know why there was a mix-up.

The food was very good, but the restaurant is really loud. The acoustics are horrible. I couldn't hear my friend sitting across the table from me! The food is great, but I would think twice about coming back because of the noise level.

Portions are too small. Restaurant is way too noisy. Staff is very good. Hakari and Steven are both excellent. Plum wine was not available, although it was on the menu. Parking is a challenge.

From Our Editors

Raku unites authentic Japanese cuisine with the Spanish tradition of shareable tapas, crafting traditional eastern ingredients such as quail eggs, octopus, and seaweed into artistic, bite-sized presentations. Chefs specialize in robata, kebabs of spiced meats grilled over specialty binchotan charcoal, which burns at up to 1,000 degrees to lock in flavor and provide an effective threat for mouthy paper lanterns. The bilingual staff can take orders in both English and Japanese, and complement bites with pours of imported Japanese beers and sakes.
