About WaveHuggers

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are an ocean conscious surf school that not only teaches people how to surf, but also teaches them so they have the confidence to go on their own after one lesson!

What equipment is provided? Is there anything visitors need to bring?
We provide a surfboard and wetsuit. Bring water, sunscreen, a towel, and warm clothes for after the lesson.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I grew up surfing and fell in love with the sport and the feeling of riding a wave. The ocean is humbling and surfing allows you to transcend physical and mental barriers. I wanted to share that feeling and the moments and lessons the ocean has to teach with others.

What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about teaching surf lessons is experiencing the joy of a student catching his/her first wave. Sharing the feeling of riding a wave is priceless.

Agent was super helpful booking and my instructor Cady was incredible!! I’m not athletic but she was able to get me riding waves in my 2 hour lesson! Highly recommend.

Great lesson by Bradley, and will be booking again. Such an amazing feeling once on the surfboard, balanced and actually surfing!!! Informed him how it’s January and 71 degrees outside and sunny. Thank you

What a great experience! Annika was awesome and did a great job teaching my daughters and me the basics of surfing. Very glad we chose this activity! Highly recommend for those looking for a new adventure!
