It used to be that makeup was just about the only solution for people with naturally sparse or over-plucked brows. (And, in the hands of inexperienced artists, it could prove to be an inelegant solution.) But artists like Rickie Jones of Brows by Design have harnessed the power of microblading—a semipermanent way to craft realistic-looking brows that flatter clients' faces. Microblading, also known as microstroking or eyebrow embroidery, uses a super-fine blade to deposit a small amount of ink in numbed skin, creating natural hair-stroke patterns for a chic and defined look.
