Joevir is an unusual but talented stylist. Unfortunately, I read the negative reviews before my appointment and went into the appt. guarded. He did listen to what I wanted but also made recommendations on what would look better. Be open-minded.

Stay away! I scheduled a time by Joevir last week for my graduation day and and he just called me and said he cannot find my in appointment list so the day he already set up is not available anymore. Super unprofessional and annoying.

Stylist was fast and did not take his time. I had partial highlights done. First, he washed my hair before highlighting, which has never happened before. Then, when applying the foils, they were applied messy and made me uncomfortable the whole time. My hair ended up with a gold tent when they rest of my hair is a medium blonde. I asked him for a simple trim and he took off more then asked. I will not return in the future.

I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews before buying this Groupon...by far the WORST hair experience in my life!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I arrived on the day we scheduled through texts only to find out my appt was actually the next day...and couldn't fit me in! Excuse me?? Such lies but I rescheduled since I needed the haircut and already paid, and wish I hadn't. He was running late when I arrived on time to our scheduled appointment..waited 15 minutes to have him rush me to the sink and add the "conditioning treatment". I looked at the bottle and it was regular conditioner...! He was doing 2 other people's hair at the same time as mine so he left me at the sink to have the "treatment" set in, he left me there for 20 minutes when he said it would only take 8 minutes to set in!! Then rushed me to the chair to cut my hair in 2 minutes and it was the worst haircut ever..I just asked for a trim!! I could have done a better job, he just grabbed junks of hair and cut inches off. Very unevenly may I add! Then he rushed me to put me in the dryer for another 20 minutes while he colored another persons hair!! A dryer for a haircut?? When he went to "style" my hair all he did was coat my hair in spray then said I was done. This whole process took over an hour!!! When he spent 2 minutes on my hair..so awful. I would never recommend this salon to anyone! Stay away!

Joevir is very nice and friendly, but he does not listen to what you want your hair to look like. I had spent 5 years growing my hair out, expressed concern on cutting it. we agreed on a length, and when he finished it was to my shoulders about 5 inches shorter then what we agreed on. Then he asked me what side I parted my hair on, I told him. He said that was not my natural part and cut my side bangs toward that side, saying it would work both ways. Well, once rewashed, it only parts the other direction and is obviously cut towards that side. I also told him I did not like my hair razored as way to thin. So he said razoring is modern. I again expressed I did not like razoring on my hair, so he used not a normal scissor, but like a razor scissor so there is not clean lines. Worst cut of my life. I thought he was very nice so, as a shy person...just said nothing after because I just wanted to cry. I hoped it would look way better after I washed it myself. But, unfortunately was way worse. I had to go to Seven salon and had their head person fix it, now it is seriously short. So, in short if you have thick hair, and you like it razored and you like someone to create a cut for you he is your guy. But, if you are like me and just want what you want, you better not go. Again, he is not a bad person or inexperienced. He kind of just likes to create what he thinks looks good. more like an artist
