Décor can say a lot about the type of food a restaurant serves. How does your décor inform or reflect your culinary practice?
Volpe is an eclectic dining atmosphere nestled on the Fox Hollow estate in Woodbury. Guests enter through a handsome bar and lounge which features fabric tufted wall treatments, wood accents and an illuminated wall of specialty wines. The main dining room is an elegant setting overlooking the Fox Hollow gardens with light wall treatments and a stone fireplace.

although the food was ok (not worth the menu prices), the service was indifferent at best..not once did our waiter come over and ask if the food was to our liking..worst move was when he started to clear our table, got called by the table next to us, put our dishes down and proceeded to take our neighbor's wine order and went to bring them the wine…then, someone else cleared our table..really poor..we had an omen of things to come when we arrived..the maitre d welcomed us, told us it would be a very short wait, we told him we wanted to use the bathrooms, came back in 3 minutes and he asked us if he could help us, as if we just arrived again..I thought it was a joke, until he told us that he didn't have any available tables..after a minute reminding him that we had just spoken to him 3 MINUTES AGO, he remembered and sat us immediately..by the way, it wasn't busy at that time; how could he be that absent minded?…Boy, not what I was expecting at the Fox Hollow Inn; we have been to 2 wonderful weddings there.
