The murmur of conversation drifts from the lounge-like dining area to a sushi bar, where chefs twist together maki with white tuna, snow crab, tobiko, and smoked sea salt. Towering stalks of bamboo sway overhead, as though one has traveled to the east or at least sleepwalked into a panda enclosure.

Service was slow especially for water. Avocados were over ripe on the sushi. Dinner proportions very small. Didn't think they deserved much of a tip. They had the nerve to add in a mandatory tip for two people, using the amount of food plus tax as the base amount. All the waitress could do is say, "The computer is programed to do that, and I can't change it. Then had the nerve to ask for more tip, after their tip was added! Out of principle 1) All restaurants I have been to don't charge mandatory tip for two people. 2) Tip is based on the amount of food before taxes.
We feel like we've been raped, food-wise and money-wise. I've had much better at the Japanese Restaurant down the street from them. Never again.
