Cafe Tu-O-Tu, Washington

For more than a dozen years, Cafe Tu-O-Tu has churned out Mediterranean cuisine tinged with a Turkish twist. Named after Washington, D.C.'s area code, the cafe dishes out its specialties at two locations: one on Pennsylvania Avenue, the other a few blocks from Georgetown University. Here's what you can expect to find on the menus:

• Breakfast (served all day): Key Bridge sandwich stacked with egg, provolone, and bacon on toasted ciabatta bread
• Panini: the Fontina a la Turca, which features sucuk—Turkish beef deli pepperoni—with provolone and tomato
• Salad: the olive salad, with baby arugula tossed with green and black olives, mozzarella balls, and sun dried tomato
• Wrap: Grilled chicken strips headline the Georgetown wrap, which is also packed with sauteed mushrooms and a red pepper spread
