Art and Soul Photography, Waterloo

We had a very nice photo session. This was our second session with them (five years prior). Looking forward to seeing the proofs.

Photos were great and so was the session however the prices are too expensive.

While I don't doubt this couple are professional photographers, they need a lesson in public-relations. They (husband & wife) constantly said they 'were not making money on this deal' and therefore could not wait for our dad to arrive (he was late) - our parents ended up not in the "family" picture because the photographers were rushing. This caused quite a stir and the photo-shoot went downward from there. They made us aware over and over that they were 'squeezing us in' and would not wait for our father because they had some other place to be. They made this appointment! They gave us the date and the time. It was poor planning on their part. My dad was late but, the Groupon states: "Shoot in the studio or on location lasting up to 90 minutes". Even if he had been half an hour late (he was 20 min late) it still should have worked. Because we started late, we told them not to do a whole bunch of poses - just one or two for us to choose from. They knew we were not interested in purchasing more than the Groupon was for and I'm sure this is why they treated us so poorly. We were 'done' within 30 min. of starting - definitely not the "90 minutes" (or 60 min with the late start) as we thought. They did not grant us the dignity of a 'real' appointment. They said they were in a rush to get to a 'real' photography job - one that they could make money at. Unbelievable. While members of our family may have not responded ideally, this couple as professionals, should have resolved this better than they did. It can't be the first time a family had someone arrive late. Plus we made concessions (less poses) to make up for it. I'm very disappointed and would never ever use or recommend this photographer to anyone. Just a bad, bad experience all around. When dealing with the public, you must anticipate things to not always go as planned; but, you find ways to resolve it, agreeably. This was definitely not the case with this photo-studio.

Just get pricing ahead. Was pricey if you want more after. They were super nice a d pretty good.
