We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Sakura Garden. My husband and I shared the hibachi chicken and shrimp dish. For only $5.00 more I was able to get my own soup, salad and fried rice. The tempura ice cream was delicious.

They are closed. A new one opened in evergreen walk in south windsor. It's not a buffet but where you order a meal from the menu.

Walk around the restaurant and decide if you want the sushi area, the bar, the hibachi room or the patio. The place is beautiful and the food is excellent.

Strange experience, having never been before the wait staff said nothing to us about how things worked. Very expensive, $25 per person and buffet was the only choice. We were not pleased but stayed and regretted that decision.

There are at least a half dozen other sushi buffets with equally good quality, but other places have a greater variety for a lower price.

I've been to Sakura many times, it's is my favorite resturaunt and I didn't expect to not have a menu to choose from. I drive over 45 minutes and I feel that was a waste of my groupon. I do enjoy the buffet but even that lacked which didn't help much

If you have a game to watch, the bar is a great place to sit. We've been there for both March Madness and Stanley Cup

Sakura has excellent and fresh food well presented. We celebrated my husband's birthday and they fix a dessert for him. They brought a huge dish and they wrote happy birthday and had a sweet treat for him.

From Our Editors

Patrons shouldn't be fooled by the sleek white and grey exterior of Sakura Garden—there's plenty of color inside. Through the doors, blossoming pink cherry trees mark a path to the dining room, where a sea-blue glass ceiling hints at the variety of oceanic fare served up at the all-you-can eat buffet. Here, wall-mounted fish provide pairing suggestions as diners dish up hot items such as steamed snow crab legs and teriyaki salmon, as well as cold options such as shrimp cocktails. Seafood also reigns supreme at the sushi bar, where chefs slice sashimi and create rolls fresh to order. After guests have filled their plates, they continue on to the softly-lit dining room, where red lights cast a glow on murals depicting misty, pastoral vistas.

A full bar offers Japanese beer and a selection of sake, and a private room is available for events and special occasions. The buffet is closed from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and happy hour runs from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
