Love the jukebox and overall nostalgia. But...the breakfast. Cold, tasteless, rubbery Belgian waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon. I can make this in my sleep. But chose not too, this day. I had to ask for another batch of eggs because the syrup they sat on the plate spilled all over them. They bought out a new batch...my eight year old makes better. They weren’t okay. They were bad and sad

Bustling place on a Saturday afternoon yet had no issue with noise or feeling like people were on top of you. Food was great. They have a parking lot but I've always found street parking to be cheaper.

Lovely service. Food pretty good. Coffee was awfully strong, however.

The diner is fun, right on the Sunset Strip. The food is good, they give you a lot to eat. The groupon helped with the cost, but it was not cheap.

Mel's is a great little staple in Los Angeles that you can find a decent bite to eat that harks back to rock and roll diners. Service is usually solid though wait times from the kitchen vary. And the kitchen can be inconsistent - sometimes disappointing. Over medium eggs can come out runny or your medium-rare burger can come out well done. Meals can be bland more or less.

It was crowded but don't let that scare you, service was excellent, You seat yourself. My daughter and I ordered a Burger with Avocado, it was so good, one of those kind of burgers that is so big you can barely get your mouth around it. Yes, I definitely would go back. I spent after my Groupon $25 plus tip. Worth eating at Mel's
