¡What a great everything! The service was great/friendly/helpful and attentive. My food was so beautifully presented I would have framed it Ada used it as wall art...but I ate it, and I ate all of it. Yesterday I had a horrible Groupon that made me hate them but today I can say "eat here everyday." They have a dog menu. I love them!!!

The service was pleasant and efficient. The food/drink wasn't as good as it used to be and I don't remember the prices being as high as they are now. We got a carafe of house margaritas that was about $33. They have better, stronger and less expensive margaritas per volume at El Myr and Pure. There was sugar and salt around the rim of the house margaritas on the rocks which was weird. We're not sure if that was mistake or that's how they serve the drinks now. Chips and salsa do not come with your meal. My friend liked her vegetarian goat cheese enchiladas, but I thought $14 was kind of steep. I used to love the crawfish tacos as they used to be really spicy. This time, they had almost no spice at all. I think that my husband enjoyed his steak fajitas o.k. It was loaded with lots of veggies, which I like, but it didn't look like there was a lot of steak in the dish for $18. It's been awhile since I've been for dinner and I'm wondering if there are new owners. I probably won't go back for dinner again, but I'd give brunch a try again. They always used to do brunch better anyway.

About Across the Street

Mexican-food enthusiasts Ali and Lana found themselves seeking out the spicy cuisine at least three times a week. They were determined to find a place that fulfilled all their needs: good food with vegetarian options, quality margaritas, a patio, and few to no poltergeists. When Across the Street's current space opened up, the two jumped at the chance to create the restaurant they had been searching for. Both previous owners of eateries along with wine shops, coffeehouses, and an antiques business, they seamlessly blended their former experiences in their new location.

Today, Across the Street welcomes fellow food fans with housemade margaritas, a large selection of tequilas, and fresh Mexican entrees. Guests feast on plates ranging from vegetarian chimichangas to shrimp tostadas by the bar or on the bustling outdoor patio, where meals are sometimes scored to live music. After dining, patrons can stop by the adjoining market, which supplies everyday products alongside locally produced breads and pastries.
