American Aces Aviation
The instructors at American Aces Aviation oversee fledgling pilots' advancement from introductory ground school studies to safe soaring through nearby airspaces. The school's Cessna 172, Cessna 152, and Piper Arrow aircraft take flight from Oakland Southwest Airport, a small public-use airport with a single runway so novices don't have to worry about getting passed on takeoff by more aggressive geese pilots. In addition to their role as training aircraft for students earning their pilot licenses, the planes are also used for discovery flights that put novices at the controls alongside a licensed instructor.
