What You'll Get
Archaeologists examine ancient pottery to identify a culture’s preferred cooking methods and to determine which of its members was the World’s Greatest Dad. Make timeless memories with today’s Groupon to Artistic Gatherings. Choose between the following options:
- For $15, you get $30 worth of pottery painting.
- For $32, you get a Wednesday-night adult art workshop (a $65 value).<p>
Artistic Gatherings unfetters inner artists with an expansive stock of ready-to-paint bisque pottery pieces and Wednesday-night workshops in sundry artistic subject matters. Customers of all ages can participate in the studio’s pottery painting, and the accommodating staff supplies painting materials and a lineup of unpainted ceramics and clay figures awaiting vibrant makeovers. After students glaze pieces, the staff fires finished pieces in a kiln to ensure a long life of sitting on desktops alongside collections of Bob Dole bobblehead dolls.
Adults can spend a Wednesday night coloring and consorting during two-hour workshops, many of which are BYOB, teaching a range of artistic skills. In the BYOB Pelican Still-Life Painting class, artists plaster acrylic paints in bird shapes across a 16”x20” canvas, and during the Mixed Media art class, students can express inner frustrations with deep reds accenting torn-up parking tickets.

Artistic Gatherings unleashes inner artists with a schedule of drop-in classes, multi-week courses, and children's art camps. Classes furnish students with materials to express their creative sides, including premade ceramics, blank canvases, and lumps of clay awaiting transformations into coil-formed bowls or slightly altered lumps of clay. Meanwhile, adults can bring their favorite beverages to evening BYOB classes, during which wine and paint flow freely in two-hour sessions of artistic revelry.
