Blossom Blue’s head photographer and founder Miranda Mirsec transforms simple moments into works of art through the lens of her camera, waiting upon the perfect balance of scenery, expression, and natural light before snapping her shudder. Families of up to four gather at one of Long Beach’s sunny scenic locales to meet Miranda and her assistant for an hour-long portrait shoot, which, unlike in certain states, does not involve firing lasers toward a painting of one’s great uncle. Prior to the shoot, clients consult Miranda and develop a unique theme for every shoot that pairs a sentimental location with the ideal custom or natural lighting situation. Postsession, an online gallery contains the full gamut of digital images produced during the session free of copyright, allowing clients to print them at will or replace a dull driver’s license photo. From an online digital array of their outdoor frolic, families choose one to two images to emblazon upon glossy paper and frame over the mantle or suspend in the driver’s side window for access to occupancy-restricted highway lanes.

About Blossom Blue Photography
A laugh shared between an engaged couple. A baby asleep on her father's shoulder. The first kiss between husband and wife. Miranda Mirsec captures the natural artistry of these moments whenever she points her camera lens. Whether she’s posed her subjects or captured them at spontaneous moments, her photographs explore the relationship between color and texture, such as a bouquet of flowers set against a bridal gown or a wedding cake smashed into a child's soft face. The snap of her shutter echoes across Los Angeles and Southern California, where natural and manmade surroundings backdrop everything from headshots, to weddings, to family portraits. Some of the artist's past settings have included the Fullerton Arboretum, the Long Beach Museum of Art, and beaches across California's coast.
