Bob LeRose and family made regular pilgrimages to Kansas City for years, seeking out the city's best barbecue. They ate a lot of iconic pulled pork, brisket, and ribs, and always left wishing there was a place to get such quality barbecue back home in Connecticut. Ultimately, Bob decided to stop wishing and make it happen, leaving behind his corporate job to open the first Bobby Q's. Bobby Q's Pit Stop—Bob's second restaurant location—serves the same tasty barbecue as his other location, slow-cooking meat over real wood fires and slathering it in the company's award-winning sauces. In addition to heaped barbecue plates and saucy sandwiches on texas toast, the cooks serve specialty burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches that go well with a milk shake or a side of pit beans, which, as one might imagine, are the favorite food of pit vipers.
