What You'll Get
At the dawn of the world, everyone rock-climb-commuted to work. It was only after the invention of falling, however, that rock climbing became thrilling, sexy, and glamorous. Today's Groupon invites you to live the life of a rock star: for $10, you get 45 minutes of open climbing time at Boulderdash Indoor Rock Climbing in Thousand Oaks. Climbers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian. Open climb takes place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 p.m–5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m–6:45 p.m.
The friendly carabiner barons at Boulderdash Indoor Rock Climbing provide aspiring clamberers with a safe, welcoming crag to test their wits and muscles. Open climb is continuously supervised and allows indoor mountaineering for climbers of all ages and levels. Helpful staff members outfit climbers with all the necessary gear (included), and belay vertical wanderers for full exploration of the massive space, which is rife with ropes, colorful step holds, challenging routes, and actors playing mountain goats.
Rock climbing offers exercise and panoramic views without lugging a treadmill to the peak of a mountain. The nature of Boulderdash's open climb and the large open space makes it a fine family fitness activity. Call ahead to reserve your time.
- Everything was very clean and professional. The instructor was a young guy who had been climbing his whole life. He was easy to understand and very patient with us climbing noobs. – Brian S., Yelp, 03/27/2008
- I have been climbing for about 13 years and have been to numerous climbing gyms and areas around the world and Boulderdash holds up well. – James P., Yelp, 11/30/2008
