The first master yogis bent themselves like twist ties around their enemies, smothering them with relaxing vibes. Now that all of your human and animal enemies are dead or in exile, today's Groupon offers a chance to defeat work-related stress with one month of swelteringly good hot-yoga classes at Breathe Hot Yoga for $30 (a $145 value). This deal is valid for new members only.
Located in South Lake Union, Breathe features over 25 classes a week in a new 1,600-square-foot studio. Breathe's impassioned instructors remix the pliable poses from the Hatha tradition with Bikram's 105 degree heat, bestowing strength and flexibility while priming the different organs of the body to awaken and do their groovy detoxifying thing. Classes take place in a heated room to infuse each move with additional penetrating power and protect the body from injury. The room has several zones kept at different temperatures for different skill levels, from beginner (85 degrees) to expert (up to 110 degrees). In addition to helping you work up a sweat, the high temperatures elevate your metabolism, making it easier to burn fat. You will need a large towel, yoga mat, and large water bottle for classes, which can be brought along or rented or purchased at the studio.
Nab this sweat-slicked Groupon to purge your system of pesky toxins, feel your muscles and tendons soften into Gumbyesque suppleness, and sweat out tension from every pore. If it's your first time with hot, hot yoga, check out their FAQ page for more information.
- I had initially been worried about getting too hot or dizzy, or just feeling out of place- and it really washed away as soon as I walked in the place. It's nice to do something good for yourself, this felt like a life treat. – Rio V., Yelp
- I've gotten more insight about my posture, musculature, mobility, and general phisiology [sic] from the combined wisdom of three of Breathe's teachers than from the dozens of other yoga instructors I've had in my life. – donna v., Yelp
- I've had dozens of yoga instructors throughout my yoga journey and Amber [owner] truly stands out amongst them all. People are drawn to her - she creates a community and builds relationships through yoga. – Sylvia, testimonial
Breathe Hot Yoga
Breathe Hot Yoga's studios maintain a tropical climate regardless of the season. Though not as hot as traditional Bikram yoga, the studios maintain a balmy temperature for most classes, allowing muscles to remain loose and limber as students flow through sessions. Antibacterial, medical-grade vinyl flooring gives yogis the clean, steady surface they need to train excitable downward-facing dogs. After sessions, trainees can refresh and renew in Breathe Hot Yoga's onsite shower facilities.
