I strongly suggest you visit his STAR smog testing station in San Rafael at Valero gas station, you may be glad you did!

Initially went in for a smog check and was given an appointment for later in the day. Procedure went smoothly at the appointed time. No fuss, no muss. Groupon honored immediately. No waiting room but tall stool worked just fine for me. Merchant was personable and professional.

California Smog Test employs an ASE-certified staff to check cars to ensure they are road ready. They complete the DMV-required biennial smog testing by placing your vehicle on a dynamo meter to test for emissions. The team can certify diesel and regular cars and trucks, out-of-state registration changes, and renewals of your current smog approval rating. The staff also recommends you warm up your vehicle before a smog check, or, if your vehicle is more than a decade old, fill up the gas tank to help ensure a passing measurement.
