It was different! I live in the Richmond area. I probably would not go back as it is some distance from where I live. The sandwich was good and the pie was fair.

About Chile Pies (Sweet & Savory)

Native to New Mexico, the green chile is packed with vitamin C and produces an endorphin high with each bite, so it's no wonder that it's the starring ingredient at Chile Pies (Sweet & Savory). The all-purpose veggie makes its journey from Bueno Foods, a half-century old food company that's also native to the state, directly to Chile Pies' made-from-scratch dishes. It then casts its capsaicin spell on sweet dishes, like the house specialty green chile apple pie, and savory plates, like veggie green chile stew. Red chiles also make their way into a variety of sweet and savory pies, both handheld and plated, as well as sandwiches, salads, and house-made drinks.
