Coco Restaurant is home to authentic and contemporary Puerto Rican cuisine and décor that transports patrons to the streets of old San Juan. Prix fixe meals skip the stress of decrypting the menu's password as patrons bite right into tostones rellenos, crispy plantain cups filled with chicken or avocado. Entree options include a trio of carnivorous temptations served with yellow rice with pigeon peas and fried plantains. The lechon asado is a classic Puerto Rican roasted pork dish; the bistec encebollado features round steak marinated with onions; and the pechuga de pollo rellena de yuca y envuelta en tocino, whose true name is too devastating to utter, is comprised of chicken breast stuffed with cassava and wrapped in bacon. Alternatively, patrons may order any of the restaurant’s vegetarian concoctions.

Inside the establishment, blue chiffon curtains drape beside wood-accented booths and tables that swathe patrons in intimacy. Guests can belly-up to a long bar for refreshment following an invigorating salsa session set to live music Thursday–Saturday nights. Bands come on at 10 p.m., helping languid diners and absent-minded Mr. Potato Heads rediscover their bodies.
