I felt scammed by this. I've had microneedling before and I can say with confidence that this was very poorly done. For starters, I've never had anyone do this without using numbing cream. But then, this service was so brief and minimal that I understand why the doctor didn't bother. This is usually a full face and neck procedure, but she only did a little on my cheeks and forehead. The only prep was wiping my face with rubbing alcohol (!) to remove some makeup. She didn't put anything on my face afterward, no sunscreen or lotion. She didn't give me any instructions for after the procedure.
When I asked about any of this, the doctor got defensive and told me that I was getting a bargain for this price. She took pictures of me without explaining why. Then afterward she used the photo to show me everything she thought was wrong with my face. She tried to sell me some of her own products, which would be fair if the service had been legit. As it was, I didn't trust this doctor's advice.
Given everything, I feel this was an enormous waste of my time and money. The office staff was very nice, but I was left to wait for a half hour before they took me back to the exam room. I had to fill out very detailed medical forms that really shouldn't have been necessary for this procedure. Then they had me change into a paper top that left my midriff exposed and they left me sitting in the cold exam room that was old and filthy, with big stains on the carpet.
I never got an apology or explanation for why I was left waiting for so long. The doctor just kept saying how lucky I was to be getting what I got for this price. I don't recommend this to anyone.
