Elements classes teach core skills such as good form for calisthenics, basic gymnastics moves, and lifting, as well as proper warm-up techniques. In one-hour indoor and outdoor fitness classes, students run, jump rope, row, and lift weights before making use of gymnastics rings or kettlebells for resistance exercises. Trainers scale the difficulty of each exercise to participants' level of physical fitness, challenging them to increase their endurance, strength, flexibility, and other attributes. The CrossFit schedule comprises dozens of classes per week, including early-morning, evening, and Saturday sessions.
