The word CrossFit may conjure up thoughts of muscle-bound people showing up to a warehouse-style gym, performing a series of impressive fitness feats, and then going home. Not so at CrossFit Prime. Here, the coaches ease into every workout. They begin each 60-minute class with warm-ups and a training session where everyone learns the proper lifting techniques for that particular day's exercises. Then, as required by law, the fun starts. Depending on the day's workout, exercisers complete functional exercises such as pull-ups, squats, and dead lifts—and quickly. Due to the exercises' functional-movement basis, they can be scaled for newcomers and regulars alike.
