A Chat with Crossfit Route 5
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
At CrossFit Route 5 our coaches come from an athletic background. Competing throughout our youth and on the collegiate level, we understand that positive motivation and team work goes a long way with the success of our members.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
The “unknown” and “unknowable” is one of our key concepts. We pride ourselves in taking the guess work out of your workout. From Foundation classes to nutritional guidance we got you covered. All you have to do is show up and be ready to change your life.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Fitness has been a large part of my life from youth. To share this with others was the motivating factor in my decision to start my own business.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is helping our members take the steps towards a healthier lifestyle.

About Crossfit Route 5
Crossfit Route 5’s gym is called a box, and since this gym really isn't a gym, you won’t find any treadmills or elliptical machines. Rather, the box is packed with kettlbells, climbing ropes, giant tires, gymnastics rings, rowing machines, barbells, and plyometric boxes—all chosen for their ability to mimic functional movements and be tailored to challenge everyone equally. The trainers, who are called coaches, guide members through each exercise to ensure proper form is used, and mix and match exercises to create new workouts each day. In addition to standard CrossFit classes, the coaches lead sport-training sessions that focus on boosting performance in specific sports, from football to thumb wrestling.
